About Mr. Wager
 DONALD WAGER
Mr. Wager has been practicing criminal law in California for over 35 years. From 1967 to 1974, Mr. Wager served as a Deputy District Attorney for the County of Los Angeles, and has been a criminal defense attorney for the past 30 years. As a criminal defense lawyer, Mr. Wager has represented clients in state and federal court in matters ranging from misdemeanor traffic offenses to quadruple murder. His clients include several well-known Hollywood actors and producers, lawyers serving in the private and public sectors, and a family member for a former President of the United States during his term of office.
A highly regarded speaker at the state and national levels, Mr. Wager’s extensive speaking engagements include lectures for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers on the cross-examination of police officers in drunk driving and narcotics cases and for the State Bar of California on ethics in criminal law practice and narcotics cases. In addition, Mr. Wager was a world-wide commentator for ESPN as the legal spokesperson before and during the O.J. Simpson trial. Mr. Wager’s law practice and distinct knowledge for criminal law and procedure has been highlighted in several news articles, including a feature story in Time Magazine.
Mr. Wager was born March 15, 1936 in Rockford, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Southern California in 1958, and received his law degree from the Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Oregon in 1962, where he was a contributor to the Law Journal. He is admitted to practice in the State of California, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Wager has been a member of the Board of Directors and has served as President of the Los Angeles County Criminal Court’s Bar Association. In addition, he is an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the California Attorney’s for Criminal Justice, the California Public Defender’s Association and a member of the Board of Directors of the District Attorney’s Alumni Association.
